In a surprising collaboration that breaks traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Questline Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "An unusual confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where rumors of forbidden practices and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The storyline features a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a clandestine cult.
The questline concentrates on "strange tests and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Transformations
The teaser showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser concludes with a striking scene showing a character, presumably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the mission will obtain an exclusive katana alongside several artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
